On ambient information
I've always been interested in ambient information - ways to have information that's just there, without needing to open it. Clocks are a great example of this. But this can go so much farther. Why haven't we done this? TVs are coming out with stuff like "art mode" and even fake fireplaces, but why can't we do something useful with that? I don't want a fake fireplace out of the corner of my eye, I want to see the weather, or the air quality, or even the traffic on my network.
